Caroline McSweeney is an Irish theatre director, trained in the UK and now based in Copenhagen. As a freelance director Caroline specialises in devised based physical theatre and has directed in Ireland, Denmark and Oslo. Most recently she was Co - Artistic Leader at Momentum Teater in Odense DK with Jens August Wille. She is currently working on a production at Det Norkse Teatret Oslo and completed the first stage of a project between Icleand and Denmark based at Akureyri Theatre Iceland. Caroline is the foremost tutor in Devising and Viewpoints across Scandinavia working in all the Scandinavian State Schools and with theatre companies and freelance artists. She is participating in this residency with Swedish/ Danish Artist Annika B Lewis. This is the third stage in an ongoing laboratory process to be developed into a theatrical production entitled Presence and Absence.
