Henrik Marstal is a Copenhagen-based musician, producer, writer and blogger. Since the mid-nineties he has been  a part of the Danish musical life as a bass player, cellist and electronic musician. He is currently working with his dreampop duo called marstal:lidell and his solo ambient project called starchild #2.
Marstal has written numerous books about various musical topics, among these a monography on Estonian composer Arvo Pärt. Since 2012, he has engaged himself in the gender debate as a blogger for the newspaper Politiken, being one of the very first Danish males in recent years to officially label himself a feminist. Marstal is also a member of the Danish Arts Foundation (2014-2017) and holds a PhD in musicology.
