Mårten Westö (b. 1967) is a Finland-Swedish writer, poet, translator and journalist. His latest books include a collection of poetry, ”Nedslag i hjärtats diktatur” (2008) and a book of short stories, ”Som du såg mig då” (Schildts & Söderströms 2014). At the moment he is working on some new short stories and poems, as well as putting the finishing touches to a non-fiction book titled ”Eremenko – the story of a footballing family”, due to be published next year. Mårten Westö has translated novels and plays from Finnish and English into Swedish, and writes regularly for the biggest Swedish speaking newspapers in Finland, mostly about literature, music and sports. He has two grown-up sons, and lives in Helsinki with his wife, Henrika, who is also a writer.
