The field of inquiry of Oskar Aglertʼs artistic practice revolves around issues related to global conflicts, politics, post-industrialization and consequently manʼs destruction of what we know as nature. Examples of recent thematic frameworks he worked with as point of departure is the black coal industry (in the Doom Machine/ Dream Machine project) and the global forest harvesting industry (the Woodpecker project). Formally Aglertʼs work usually manifests through the sculptural process which evolves to installation including elements of 3D animations and 2 dimensional work.
