Ágúst Guðmundsson

With a BA in Icelandic and French, Agust Gudmundsson studied drama at the National Theatre of Iceland and film at the National Film and TV School in England. His 8 feature films include On Top (greatest box-office hit in Iceland), The Dance (best director in Moscow) and The Seagull’s Laughter (best actress in Karlovy Vary, the Church’s award in Luebeck). He has also directed two TV series in English and his own play at the Reykjavik City Theatre. President of the Federation of Icelandic Artists 2006-2010.
