CHRISTOFER BOCKER

Playwright Christofer Bocker lives in Sunne, Sweden. The latest years he has mostly written plays based on interviews. The material and the people he work with are always anonymous and will remain so in order to create a space where the otherwise untold may be told.

Between 2013-2016 he rented a tower in a pink castle in the center of Sunne, Sweden. There he placed a divan, a Persian carpet and an armchair. People in Sunne came there, lay in the divan and talked freely for one hour. Now, after 100 people have been there, a story will emerge from that material.

Throughout Bockers artistic activity is the exploration of the stranger and to investigate the extent to which we understand that the stranger is also within ourselves. He explores the implications of these concepts and how they affect our relationships, in macro and micro perspectives.
