Scriptwriter | Finland
Jan Nåls (1970) is a writer living in Helsinki. He works in film and television as a scriptwriter, teacher and academic. He has also written plays for the theatre, as well as factual books in diverse fields such as sports betting and modern theatre. His latest effort involves an award-winning novella film, "Dance on Thin Ice" (2017). Other recent work involve a fictional biography of Finnish bootlegger Algoth Niska as well as a book on modern set-design. Nåls is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Helsinki. His research is focused on the construction of empathy in visual storytelling.
