Helga kvam

Helga Kvam is born in the North of Iceland and studied music at Akureyri's School of Music and then traditional music studies in Ireland.

Helga has worked as a musician since 1986 as a performer, producer, arranger and composer. Helga is known for her diversity as a pianist, with a repertoire ranging from classical to jazz and pop music, both as a soloist and accompanist.

During the residency at Circolo Scandinavo Helga will be working on a project with singer Þórhildur Örvarsdóttir, who has been one of her closest collaborators in the past few years.
