MADS MYGIND

"I am President in a literary association group called Litteraturen på Scenen (Literature

on Stage) and have been a member since 2005. We organize at least one poetry

reading every month. I also founded the international poetry festival Verbale Pupiller

(Verbal Pupils). I teach literature and creative writing in several different high schools

and universities.

I studied Nordic Language and Literature at Aarhus University for six years,

as well as Visual Culture.

In 2010 I translated and introduced the Zimbabwean writer Tendai Frank

Tagarira.

I spent October and November 2011 in an artist residency north of New York (Ledig

House, Omi International Arts Center).

June 2013 I was given a month long stay in Athens at The Danish Institute.

For my works I have received several grants and scholarships from the arts council in

Aarhus, The Danish Writers Association, and The Danish Arts Foundation."
