Sanna Tahvanainen (b. 1975) is a Finnish-Swedish
author living in Helsinki. Since her debut in 1994
she has published poetry collections, novels, children's books, well written drama and columns.
Her latest novel, Den lilla svarta (2016) revolves around fashion designer Coco Chanel and is set in 1920s Paris. It is the second part in a trilogy about historical women.
The first part, Bär den som en krona (2013) breathed
life into Queen Victoria of England, a figure who has been
frozen into a monument in the history books. The third and final part of the trilogy expected to be published in 2019 and is set in a hot summer in New York in the fifties.
