Þórhildur Örvarsdóttir

Thórhildur Örvarsdóttir is an Icelandic vocalist who has sung an extremely wide spectrum of music. She has worked in such diverse fields as opera, world music, jazz and film music. She has performed in a number of world-known films collaborating with leading composers such as Junkie XL, Atli Örvarsson, Einar Selvik and Hans Zimmer. She has been a featured artist at the International Music Festivals around Europe and is the lead singer of world music group Torrek.

Hilda is also a prominent educator and vocal coach and has given masterclasses in Iceland and around Scandinavia.

During her stay in Circolo Scandinavo she will be working on a project with Helga Kvam pianist, who has been one of her closest collaborators in past few years.
