Gro Siri Ognøy Johansen
Gro Siri Ognøy Johansen is a singer and creator of Modus Center for Medieval Music in Oslo. She has worked with ensemble Dialogos in Paris and Musica Reservata in Caracas whose recording Terra Adriatica won the Diapason d’Ór and LeChoc in Le Monde de Musique. With Modus ensemble she works with performance in dialogue with textual and visual expressions. In 2015 she was artist in residence at Circolo Scandinavo with the project Laude Illustre. She has a diploma in Gregorian chant from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and developed Gestaltsang as an artistic tool for working with medieval liturgical play. In 2021 she started collaborating with dramaturg Hege Randi Tørressen to create a new play about Eufemia von Rügen, who became queen of Norway 1299.
