Sanna Tahvanainen
Writer | Finland
Sanna Tahvanainen (1975) is a Finnish writer who writes in Swedish. Since her debut in 1994 she has published poetry, novels and children’s books.
Currently Tahvanainen is interested in digging deeper in her Carelian past, the lost landscape that became a part of the Soviet Union after the Winter War in March 1940. Borders, violence and the
tension between Finland’s two national languages: Finnish and Swedish are topics that will be examined in her next project.
