Björn Båsen (1981, Norway) is a painter, sculptor and comic book creator. Båsen's works invite the spectator into a personal mythology. Through paintings, sculptures and comic books he weaves a narrative world of beauty and decay. Båsen's pieces are filled with references to art history, manga, science fiction and the past and present decadence movement. A world where the fairttales of former glory meet the realism of today.

His work is included in the collection of the Astrup Fearnley Museum, KODE Art Museum, Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum, the National Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, The Grieg Art Collection, Equinor, DNB as well as numerous private collections nationally and abroad.
